I had no particular hope for :The Rings of Power", but this put the stake into it definitively:

Many fine points, and from the clips, justified. Oh Galadriel, what have they done to you...not to mention Celeborn? There's much less direct material on the 2nd Age, obviously, but plenty for a lot of decent stories. The tragedy of Eregion could be one all by itself without needing...all the other stuff.

I am afraid I could only listen to the youtube video for a minute or two because as the reviewer said at the beginning he was already hating the show before it even aired and he was so vulgar and ranty. Sorry. I couldn't watch/listen.

But I'm enjoying Rings of Power so much. Is it flawed? YES. And it's more than a bit odd to even make this show when the writers cannot source from The Silmarillion, which they don't have the rights to. But the acting is great, the visuals are stunning, and there are wonderful moments that reference the Jackson movies. It's worth watching, imo.

But there's actually a lot of material, in both the main text and the Appendices!

Which they're ignoring.
