Senior member of the administrative staff just tested positive today. Everyone in the office has had contact with her, so current protocol is daily self-administered ARTs and stay at home if we get a positive result. Everyone's double vaccinated, albeit the majority with Sinopharm, which is the most widely available vaccine locally, and most of us are boosted as well, so hopefully we won't have too many serious cases.

We've had cases among the peripheral staff (cleaners, gardeners, maintenance etc) but not the core admin team until now. It was inevitable, I suppose, given how infectious Omicron is. It's a bugger regardless.

Housekeeper and I are negative so far. Fingers crossed.

That Japanese holiday looks farther and farther away...

Yes, and the staff are divided into A & B teams, in separate parts of the building.
